Question

I'm getting Windows Hello popups twice in a row to unlock 1password

Hello, I've recently encountered an issue with 1Password on my PC. Every time I start my computer and open my browser, the 1Password popup appears. I enter my PIN, but the popup reappears, asking for the PIN again. Only after entering it a second time does 1Password unlock. This is extremely frustrating, and I would like to know how to fix it.

Additionally, the popup is now always minimized and doesn't actually appear on screen. I have to click it from the taskbar to interact with it.

I would appreciate a suggestion to how to fix these issues.

Hi @Ownsin, thanks for posting!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with Windows Hello unlock - both the double prompts and prompts appearing minimised are not expected behaviour.

So our support team can investigate further, I'd like to ask you to reproduce the behaviour, then create and share a diagnostics report from the 1Password desktop app:

Send a diagnostics report (Windows)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to: support@1password.com

With your email please include:

You’ll receive a reply with a Support ID number. Post that number here. Thanks!
