iOS app is not saving passkeys

After signing in to a few apps recently, I’ve been prompted to add a passkey. It brings up the screen that lets me choose where to save the passkey, with options for creating a new item or updating the existing item. Regardless of which one I choose, clicking the Save button on the top right does nothing.

I’m on iOS 27.2. Any ideas? Is this a known issue?

I’m sorry that you’re unable to save a passkey using 1Password for iOS. Are you able to save a passkey in 1Password on another device, like a Mac or Windows PC?

And does the issue only affect the saving of new passkeys? Or new passwords as well?

I am able to save on a Mac, and that was my workaround for saving it.

I did just do some tests with passwords to answer your other question, including creating a new passkey, and it’s working now. I’m not sure what changed, but I can’t repro the issue anymore.

Has anybody else reported this problem, or is there an open ticket for this behavior? I’m having the exact same issue. I’m only on iOS 27.0. Maybe 27.2 is not yet available in German?

Are you able to save passkeys on your other devices, or is the issue specific to your iOS device? If it’s specific to your iOS device, is the issue occurring on all apps/websites that you try and save passkeys for, or specific ones?

I’m sorry that you’re unable to save a passkey when using 1Password. As a next step, make sure that AutoFill is properly setup: Use 1Password to save logins and sign in to apps and websites on your iPhone and iPad

If that doesn’t work, or everything was already setup correctly, I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your iOS device:

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
