Performance issues with 1Password for Mac, and 1Password in the browser
Sad to say, I am having significant performance issues, regardless of browser.
I have removed and reinstalled 1Password and the related browser extensions, downloading everything directly from the 1Password website. I am running a MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro, but I am also experiencing the same issue on my Mac Studio.
When accessing a login interface, it can take 30 seconds or more for the available login options to appear. I have been using 1Password for many years and this is not characteristic of the product I am used to. It does seem to improve when accessing the same login again within a relatively short period of time, almost as though something has been cached.
The issue seems to coincide with the introduction of the new-style password interface.
There is also a strange issue where, when the password interface is presented, I unlock it using Touch ID, then the same interface is immediately presented again and I have to unlock it a second time before the login options are finally offered.
This all started with the most recent update. Overall, 1Password is currently feeling noticeably clunky and slow compared with the experience I have been used to over the years.
