Same, i've just started to use Helium, not just because of privacy, but how well it works on immutable Fedora linux Bazzite.

I, too, am unable to coax 1Password Desktop for LInux (installed natively, without any containerization) to accept `helium` as a browser. I went so far as to download the Helium browser without the AppImage wrapper and rename the executable from `chrome` to `helium` (and updated the other wrapper script to match) -- then added `helium` to the `/etc/1password/custom_allowed_browsers` file. It still tells the browser extension that it's not trusted and disconnects.

Can this be addressed? It's the only thing holding me back from switching to Helium as my primary browser.

BTW, i've tried adding custom browser in linux instructions with no luck. It might be because Helium currently run as AppImage as well

With the new ability to add browsers in Windows, I thought I could get this working, but it does not work for me. not sure why.

Hello folks,

Since Helium Browser isn’t supported, you may encounter unexpected issues or behavior, as 1Password hasn’t been tested with it. That being said, you should be able to install 1Password in Helium from the Chrome Web Store and then add Helium as an additional browser: Connect additional browsers to the 1Password app

The above screenshots shows 1Password running in the current version of Helium (installed system-wide), with a successful connection to the 1Password for Windows desktop app.

For those on Linux: If you installed 1Password for Linux or your Helium via Snap or Flatpak, the app can’t communicate with the 1Password browser extension; to use them together, install both 1Password for Linux and Helium using a non-containerized method. Then, make sure that you've followed the steps found here.

If you're still seeing issues then can you check to see if 1Password in the browser communicates with the desktop app on your device in a supported browser like Brave? Let me know by replying to this comment and I can help further.
