After latest 1Password update for Mac 8.12.36 I get the ‘Touch ID sensor is currently unavailable. You need to sign in using your account password.’

It happens on two machines with macOS Tahoe 26.6.2. One is intel and one is ARM.

Hello @pal! 👋

I’m sorry that Touch ID isn’t working after updating 1Password on your Mac. As a first step, can you restart your Mac and then lock and unlock 1Password using your account password. Does that get Touch ID working for subsequent unlocks?

If it doesn’t then I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your Mac:

Send a diagnostics report (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

With your email please include:

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number.  Please post that number here.  Thanks very much!

Everything is good now and working again. I had to setup things and experiment in the Settings > Security to get it back to what I prefer. I did not touch anything there before the update, so I guess the update changed something in that department that needed my attention after the update. Thank you, and thank you for an app I can not live without :-)
