How best to manage multiple users sharing the same computer

Each person has their own account on whatever platform you run on your computers. This not only means that each user gets to use the 1Password client with their 1Password account, but solves a whole category of problems and is the correct way to share access to any computer.

If you’re using the desktop app, then I would recommend creating different user accounts on the shared computers as ​@AJCxZ0 mentioned.

If you’re only using the browser extension or if creating multiple user accounts isn’t an option for you, you can instead have users create their own browser profile and then turn off the Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app option in the browser extension settings.

With the integration disabled, the extension will act independently from the desktop app which means they will no longer unlock together and the extension will lock if you close your browser. Additionally, you will only be able to unlock the extension using your account password.
