1Password at work

The Virtual Credit Card system in CapitalOne has been marvelous but relies on a Chrome Browser Extension (ENO) to function.  It has two primary tasks:   1. To recognize that a Payment Window has opened in Chrome and then identifies the available Virtual Card for that merchant website.  If one exists, it auto-copies the Credit Card Number, Expiration Date and CCV Number.    2. The Browser Extension also allows the user to request creation of a new Virtual Card if that vendor site has no existing Card on file, or the Card has expired. The use of the Browser Extension will be disabled on Sept. 30, 2026.  According to CapitalOne, there is now a capability to activate the Chrome Google Pay toolset to recognize the vendor website and link to CapitalOne to copy the Virtual Card information like described above.  Unfortunately we all understand that the entire transaction, vendor information, client and purchase  will be then available to Google.  There are privacy settings that may protect the

I would really appreciate it if you could add an option or functionality that allows full control of login information directly via all modals and popups -perhaps via a right-click or an overflow menu. We use this tool to store thousands of records, and in many cases, I need to delete or archive an old login, or make quick updates to a password. Instead of going through the main application to look for the login, I would appreciate an option to organize and control my credentials right from the modals when I am on a website, without the need to open the main 1Password app.

Personal account is signed in and working fine, but work SSO is not available, so apparently I can’t use either of my accounts any more? The worst part is it won’t even let me save generated passwords any more, so I’ll need to reset my forum password next time I log in.How can I remove this account from the app?

Noticed this morning this Sign in prompt when I go on a site that is stored in my 1P. Can’t find any info about it. Anyone got any ideas when it was released and do we have any control over it?

IssueI sometimes have problems authenticating to 1Password because I am offered a TouchID prompt during a remote connection where I obviously can't access the TouchID key.SummaryThis is mostly (if not always) related to SSH key authorization I have three Macs in different locations and often remote from one to another I use 1Password to manage my SSH keys On the remote mac I have the following in ~/.ssh/config. Usually for command line sessions, this bypasses 1Password and I'm prompted for a passphrase on the command line:Host *    Match exec "! netstat -an -p tcp | grep ESTABLISHED | grep -q '\.5900'"        IdentityAgent ~/Library/Group\ Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.1password/t/agent.sock Screensharing (VNC) sessions are a crap-shoot: sometimes I get a TouchID prompt with no way to switch to a keyboard prompt.DetailWhen trying to log into a website in a browser, or using SSH in a terminal, a prompt comes up where the only option is TouchID:Prompt from terminal command `ssh . . .`Prompt

We use okta in Federation Broker Mode, current we have never deleted suspended user  so we have over 350 from from years gone past. I enabled the auto delete setting after 90 days but nothing has happened  over a 24hr period. Is this normal or do I need to  use the CLI to clear the back log and then the setting will apply after today?

Hi everyone,I’ve been using 1Password’s password generator and I’m trying to understand the best way to handle websites that have different password requirements. Some sites require a specific combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols, while others restrict certain special characters or have specific password-length limits. Is there a way in 1Password to customize the password generator settings for an individual website, or does the generator need to be adjusted manually each time?I’d also be interested to know how other users deal with sites that reject an automatically generated password because of their own character restrictions. Thanks for any advice or recommendations.

Same issue as these other posts.  We sent emails to the support team middle of last week, but no response.   Entire org locked out of not only 1Password, but the systems that have their access information in the vaults. This is our fault, but getting any response or help to resolve this has not been forthcoming at all.  Great technology, seemingly let down by support.

I'm not able to use Touch ID on my keyboard anymore. I get an error at unlock screen.Tried Toggling on and off. Shutting down completely, restarting and reenabling touch ID from Scratch. Also Important to note Lock/Unlock Functions fine on Mack with Fingerprint. Watch Unlock works ok. I want Keyboard TouchID Unlock to work since I dont wear watch sometimes. Anything else I should try? Thanks.

We just deployed desktop version 8.12.28(through Intune using MSI package) on all our machines last month.  We had used this command line for it: msiexec /i "1PasswordSetup-latest.msi" /qn MANAGED_UPDATE="1" MANAGED_INSTALL="1" /norestart Now after a month, all laptops are now getting this prompt to update again. They are getting “1Password will update when you restart the app. Later/Restart Now”. Its really annoying. Our  users are not allowed to update the software on their own as they needed local admin rights. How can we get rid of this prompt or is there a setting that we can turn off for this? Or an Intune policy that will turn this update check? Also why are the updates very frequent? it seems to be on a monthly basis.

LastPass early user here… Do I find 1Pass fill-in better? → YES.Do I find using 1Pass confortable → NO!!!!!!!How the crap I cannot see only last referred pass here ? I’m a paying 1Pass Customer … ….. but using it is so absurd that I’m ready to turn back….... and restart using LastPass with all it’s issues.I saw argument about “using last referred pass” for visualisations from 6 years ago...… and no solution so far !!!It’s a “missing feature” or by-a-choice design?(  I started using LastPass around 2008-2009 and what available by design )Alain

I started a new job. On my work computer, i opened my synced profile on Chrome, then logged into the 1password Chrome extension. On that screen, there’s the option to indicate that I’m on a public or shared computer (which I am). I was in a hurry so I did not select this option, and would like to do so now.How do I change my preferences to “on a public or shared computer”?What benefits does this preference provide?

I want to see who made an item in the 1Password app. I can see when it was made and if I edit the item, I can then see who edited it, but I can’t just view who made the item.Sometimes I have questions about how someone set something up and I want to be able to easily view the responsible individual.Item in 1Password showing when it was added. There’s a red arrow pointing to the row inquiring who added the item.

When I click on the extension icon in the toolbar, it takes several seconds, and sometimes even minutes, for the extension panel to open. See here small clip where the panel takes 30 seconds to open: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H7opDLsXEolSc5YNzUdBeYB-tLDLSE_W/view?usp=sharingThe delay is inconsistent: Sometimes the panel opens after about 10 seconds, other times it takes 30 seconds, and occasionally it can take more than a minute!I tried switching to a different Chrome profile and reinstalling Chrome. I also tested Chrome Beta channel, and the issue occurs there as well. It works fine on Firefox, Arc and Zen browsers. This only happens in Google Chrome. I'm using Mac OS.

Finally gave up on “just dealing with it,” and can’t find a place to contact support for help, so I’ll list issues here: 1Password Teams Account 8.12.37.1Safari 26.6.2 (21624.5.1.11.3)MacOS 26.6.2 (25G83) Creating an account in this Community didn’t offer me a suggested password. The field just sat there, blank.  Seemed strange for your own website. Example UI: www.citi.com.  I have 12 passwords saved for this site.  The most active used to come up first, with all of them showing in a drop down I could scroll through.  Now, the oldest (and, coincidentally, least-used) login shows up first, AND, I have to click an “Other Passwords for citi.com...” choice to see any other logins. Clicking that choice opens the drop-down I’m accustomed to seeing.  But it takes an extra click now. TouchID/Enter Password pops up, even if I’ve recently used TouchID (this used to persist for some period of time in the past) Switch to another site, zapier.com.  This site has a two-stage login: first page for u

The new user is about a 50% useful approach.  There are two choices for the user: 1) to click on their UID for the site and 2) to click on the password manager of choice.  With respect to (2), my choices are 1password and Apple’s password.Regarding (1).  If I click on my UID, I am first faced with a 1PW auth challenge, then after watching in the background 1PW’s autofill, I am go sent to the essentially the same initial screen with two opportunities to use the UID (one from each of password managers) and then the same password manager choices below.  If I click on the UID, I am asked to authenticate again.  Looks like the interface is in a do loop with no way out...unless the user realizes to click outside (not on any of the choices offered, which causes the website login to be displayed.  Very poor form.Regarding (2).  This takes a sequence of 1 click, double-click to select (both in 1PW, and then an additional click in the website’s login.Over arching question on (1).  Why does the u

I came from last pass a few years ago. I really do miss it. I’d like to know what I’m doing wrong here. Because I use this for business, I have maybe 100 URLs with my business domain in them that have different credentials. For example, I have internal deployment tools, Privileged Access Management Software, IT monitoring tools, firewalls, load balancers, and some of our company SaaS applications.  (Technically most of these all use a single directory, but this is a “for example”) I’ll use the Microsoft contoso.com domain for this example. deploy.contoso.com pam.contoso.commonitor.contoso.comfirewall-euw1a.contoso.comlb-euw1a.contoso.commyapp.dev.contoso.commyapp.staging.contoso.commyapp.contoso.comAnd 195+ more….  Each of these has an entry in 1 password. Each has a unique username/password/URL combo. The classic login experience with the drop down right in the username / password field on desktop “mostly” works ok. It places the entry that matches the exact URL at the top, even though

Full disclosure: I just started work at 1Password as a Product Intern, and I’m posting this to get honest feedback from people who use 1Password at work. The latest Credential Governance release is intended to help admins discover and take ownership of company-owned credentials that sit outside the normal SSO and provisioning flow, including shared accounts, break-glass accounts, contractor logins, shadow IT, and apps that do not support SAML or OIDC.If you have access to it:- Are you using it?- What has been useful so far?- What feels confusing or incomplete?- Does the discovery workflow surface the right credentials?- Does the ownership transfer process make sense?- How are access controls, rotation, and auditing working for you?And if you are not using it, I’d especially like to understand why. Is it a visibility problem, an onboarding problem, a missing capability, or simply not a priority for your team?I’m asking because I’d like to help make this better for the people who use 1Pas

Mac Studio M1, Tahoe 26.6.2, Chrome Version 152.0.7977.84 (Official Build) (arm64).Chrome browser extension now is suuuper slow to load. When it does load, unlocking doesn’t result in autofill options popping up (usually). And it crashes about as often as it works.Things are now marginally better after I turned off all the new universal login/autofill stuff. Still marked performance decrease though. Before sending this msg, I have deleted the Chrome extension and reinstalled, uninstalled and reinstalled 1password app using appcleaner. Problems persist.Any idea what’s going on? Is a fix on the way?

Hi, I use both macOS and Windows. I have setup my M365 passkey successfully on 1Password and Microsoft 365 and can login to browser apps and desktop apps on my macOS with no problem. When I try the same on Windows 11 I can use passcode on the browser apps (Outlook etc) but when I try on the desktop apps it fails with a try again message. I have gone over my settings on 1Password and have auto-enable fill-in and Hello setup. Likewise Windows Hello and Passkey using 1Password setup in Windows.Any ideas? This is also the same for another colleague.

I am on a Mac using Chrome with a 1Password extension and need to turn off the keyboard shortcut ⌘-\. I need to use this shortcut in another tool that cannot be changed. It doesn’t appear that there are any keyboard shortcuts set on my device:But this popup shows every time I hit ⌘-\ on my keyboard:Is there any way to remove the shortcut from my device? Or is this a global shortcut that cannot be removed? Thanks!

On the Mac app (8.12.32), when dragging an item with a file attached from one account to another, the “Move Item” window pops up, but clicking the “Move Item” button doesn’t do anything (button flashes but fails silently). The source account is a family account on 1password.com, destination account is a business account on 1password.caIt’s only when using the “Move” menu that I see a “Can’t move file reference to a different server”.I’d expect a popup message instead of a silent fail. I’d also expect the popup message to display the name of the item, because it makes all transfers fail if I’m dragging multiple items at once.

It would be great to have an option to add the required number at the end of the password or incorporate it into one of the words, for example:car-APPLE-cat1 car-APPLE-c4tNumbers are a requirement on so many systems that I currently just add 1 to the end myself. The main reason for keeping it this way is readability and ease of typing. Some systems don't allow passwords to be pasted due to clipboard restrictions, so you have to manually look at and type the password. Keeping the number at the end or within a word makes this much easier while still satisfying the number requirement. The goal is to keep the password simple and memorable, without adding unnecessary complexity.

Here is the precise scenario. I went to log in at Zoho, where I use a OTP generated by 1PW for my 2FA. I tried to log in several times from Computer A (a Windows machine) with 1PW automatically filling in the OTP and Zoho would throw an error every time that the passcode was wrong. I also entered it manually with the same result. So I opened 1PW on Computer B (a Mac) and looked at the OTP generated there, and manually entered it on Computer A. That one Zoho accepted.Any idea why or how that could happen? Is it likely an error on Zoho’s end or 1PW end? Thanks!
