Question

How do I forward passkey requests to the system in the new universal sign-on experience when 1Password is locked?

Very often I need to authenticate with a service using a hardware device that has a passkey not stored in 1Password. The old extension provided a way to bailout to the system in these cases.

Here is where I was able to do that in the old extension:

I don’t see any way to do that here.

I have tried clicking the ‘x’, hitting escape, and other key combinations to no avail.

Please help!

Thanks.

Hello @Fooligan! 👋

Thank you for the report and I’m sorry for the inconvenience. This is a bug that our development team is currently working on a fix for. For the time being, unlock 1Password first and then you can use the escape button on your keyboard to dismiss the passkey prompt and hand things off to the browser once 1Password is unlocked.

I hope that helps.

Thanks @1P_Dave.

This is on a shared PC that I don’t want to add my account to. The downfall of a controlled corporate environment.
