How to use 1Password only for passwords

Hello,

I use 1Password for business and I do not want it to suggest or even activate for anything other than passwords. I toggled off what I could in the settings, but there is one where if I toggle it, it also stops the password from auto filling ("Show autofill suggestions when a form field is in focus"). I want it to show password suggestions automatically, but not credit cards or names & addresses. Is there a way to throw out the bathwater without the baby?

Thanks for the question! While you can stop 1Password from automatically offering to save contact information by turning off "Offer to save contact information", there isn't a way to turn off identity suggestions without also turning off password suggestions.

1Password is designed to be the only filling solution in your browser and works best when other filling solutions are turned off. Out of curiosity, what do you use to fill your credit cards and addresses? I'd be happy to pass your feedback along to the team once I better understand your use case.

I am in sales and always enter new addresses and such info. Hundreds of customers. Our software is NetSuite, so web based, so every time I want to add or edit customer info the 1Password prompts come up and block portions of the view, once in a while in a way that makes it hard to complete what i am doing, such as select options.

Thank you for sharing your use case, I've filed a feature request on your behalf.

For the time being, you might find it helpful to hide 1Password on those pages so that it doesn't try to save or fill contact information there:

Right-click on the webpage in question.
Click 1Password - Password Manager > Hide on this page.
