Issue: 1Password prompts repeatedly to save the login

Hi, when logging in with SSO or Social Logins (Google/Microsoft/etc.), even if 1Password was used for signing-in, it again prompts to save the SSO method. It becomes annoying, because if I don't remember if I have saved it or not, I have to first check, and then dismiss it. Please fix this.

Hi @fsol,

Could you confirm what web browser(s) you're seeing this issue in? Additionally, are you seeing it on all websites that you use "sign-in with" logins on, or just specific ones?

In the meantime, if you're finding these prompts bothersome I'd like to note that you can toggle these prompts off in the "Autofill & save" section of the extension's setting by turning Offer to save “sign-in with” logins off.

I've been having this issue pretty much since the feature became available. It happens intermittently, but consistently. I have the issue in chrome, but like I said, it's been going on for years across multiple versions. I believe it's triggered by manually clicking sign-in with google on the page (rather than using 1password) - the main reason I do this is that there isn't a keyboard shortcut that will do the sign-in 1password is suggesting, so often it's faster for me to use the site's UI sign-in button.

Here is an example

You can see the sign-in is already saved in my vault, but I'm getting the popup to save that I used google to sign-in.

It also happens on washingtonpost.com

I think I can reproduce on both sites by

  • signing out
  • force refreshing the page
  • sign in again using the host site's google button (not 1password's)
