Question

Support chromium-based browsers?

Hi, team!

I'm working on an enterprise browser based on Android Chromium. When I try to save the passkeys using 1Password, I get an error message:

"Unable to save passkey. For security reasons, 1Password did not save this passkey. The associated URL for this passkey does not match the selected app."

I guess the reason of this error message might be because our browser (also chromium) isn't officially supported by 1Password. On other platforms, it seems there's the way to connect additional browsers to 1password app.

Do you have any plan to support connecting non-supported browsers to 1Password app on Android?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @ychoi! 👋

Welcome to the community! 1Password directly supports multiple Chromium browsers like Chrome or Brave but you're correct that there are browsers out there that aren't supported and that 1Password for Android doesn't have a way for users to add unsupported browsers.

I'd be happy to file a feature request on your behalf. Would you be able to share the name of the browser that you're using?
