When should we expect a fix for prompting for Hello credentials after unlocking with password?

There is a long-standing (many months so far) bug where Windows Hello is triggered after unlocking a vault via the password. 1P support reviewed and verified this is a bug back in November 2024 on QFB-16867-382--1P should not prompt for Hello if the vault was unlocked via password.

Is a fix already expected for this? If so, when? If not, can it please be prioritized?

I'm sorry that you're seeing an unexpected prompt from Windows Hello when you unlock 1Password for Windows using your account password. This is indeed a known issue that is still open in our developer's backlog, I don't have an ETA to share on when it will be fixed. 

The prompt will only appear if Windows Hello is already enabled, so unlocking 1Password using Windows Hello would be the most convenient workflow. However, I'm aware that sometimes you're required to enter your account password. You should be able to dismiss the prompt when you see it after you enter your account password and 1Password will unlock.
