Yubikey 5C not working with 1Password Android app

Question

My Yubikey 5C is not able to authenticate as 2FA in my android app (using NFC or USB-C), but works fine for windows app and 1password.com (proving that I have properly registered this security key with 1password).

When I try to use it for android, 1password starts some "pairing your Yubikey" process but can never complete it.

This issue was raised in this community 3 years ago but it was never marked as resolved.

I bought the Yubikey 5C based on 1Password documentation stating that Yubikey is compatible with 1Password.

Hello ​@thehvacdude! 👋I’m sorry that you’re running into an issue when using your security key with the 1Password for Android app. Just to confirm: are you able to use your Yubikey with other apps on your Android phone? Or do you see issues with other apps as well?Can you share a screenshot of the “pairing your Yubikey” error message?As a workaround for now, while we investigate, are you able to addan authenticator app as an additional factor to your 1Password accountand then use that to authenticate your account:Set up two-factor authentication-Dave
