We're excited to share that 1Password has joined the Rails Foundation as a core member! This partnership strengthens our commitment to supporting the Rails community and furthering initiatives like security-focused documentation and developer education. With 1Password's deep involvement in Rails – powering products like Kolide and contributing valuable resources to the community – we look forward to collaborating on new projects and innovations in 2025 and beyond!

GitHub Secure Open Source Fund
You may have seen in recent news that 1Password is a launch partner of Github’s Secure Open Source Fund! The GitHub Secure Open Source Fund will be offering $1.25 million in funding to support security and sustainability across 125 open source projects. The program provides $10,000 in funding, expert mentorship, and access to valuable tools like GitHub Copilot to help you improve your project’s security.

Developer Tools update
1Password SDK v0.1.5 is here! 🎉
We’re excited to announce the release of 1Password SDK v0.1.5, packed with new features to enhance your workflows and improve productivity. Here's what's new:
- Password generation: Automatically generate customizable passwords within 1Password – no need for external libraries!
- Manage credit card numbers: Safely handle credit card information for use cases like payment processing and e-commerce.
- Verify secret references pre-authentication: Check secret references before authenticating, reducing errors and simplifying debugging. This feature was requested by our partner Postman for their shared vault integration.
November has been our biggest month yet, with 585 active users and 342 integrations! We’re just getting started, so stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
