1 password should work offline when servers are under maintenance

I tried to save a new login using browser extension. And a message returns "unable to save item" When I use the extension to create a new login it opens a page saying that the site is under...

Thanks for reaching out! I apologize for the circumstances you found yourself in with the servers being down, and for the disruption to your workflow here. You're absolutely right, you should be able to still save and edit items on your local machine. To confirm, did this happen on May 4th, when you sent this message? Were you able to sign into 1password.com outside of the browser extension during this time?
