    Thanks for reaching out to us here 🙂. I'm sorry for the trouble here.

    I completely understand where you're coming from on this. When you install the 1Password browser extension, it basically takes over as the active password manager by default. While it can sometimes be difficult to 'juggle' more than one password manager, everyone has their own personal workflow, and we certainly respect that.

    There is a way remove the message 'An extension, 1Password - Password Manager, is controlling this setting' in the Firefox settings - here's how:

    1. Right-click the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar and click Settings.
    2. Under General turn off the "make 1Password the default password manager" option.

    Now you should be able to turn on the built in password manager in Firefox, and use 1Password and Firefox together.

    Things can get a little weird with the inline menu, as Firefox will try to suggest saved passwords, as well as 1Password. In case it is helpful, you can also turn off this setting in 1Password:

    1. Right-click the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar and click Settings.
    2. Under Autofill turn off 'Show autofill menu on field focus'.

    When you're on a website and want to use the 1Password inline menu to autofill, you can click the little 1Password icon in the field to toggle our inline menu on/off.

You'll probably find it is a lot easier to store (and more secure) to store all your data in one place.

    Nothing personal, but I find it extremely annoying when a business tells me how it is best FOR ME to use something. Even Jobs and Ive being geniuses would miss it quite often and there has not been anybody even close to their level. 

    So I WANT to store passwords both in 1 password and Firefox! I have reasons I want to this! 
    How can I disable this annoying behavior of 1 password?

      Thanks for reaching out. 1Password will deliberately turn off the built-in password manager in Firefox since 1Password isn't designed to be used alongside another password manager. By using two different password managers at the same time, you'll run into conflicts and issues like overlapping suggestions from both 1Password and Firefox. You may also accidentally save passwords in the wrong password manager or create duplicates when you use one password manager to fill a login and then the other password manager saves the filled login. 

      That being said, you can turn off 1Password's management of the built-in password manager in Firefox by following these steps: 

      1. Open your browser.
      2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings. 
      3. Turn off "Make 1Password the default password manager in this browser".
