4 years ago1Password 8 macOS should have a permanent Sidebar toggle
Can we have an ability to toggle permanent Sidebar icon in the Preferences.
* Permanent Sidebar icon — will show right after the macOS window controls.
So we can collapse the Sidebar on-demand, without going to the Menu Bar > View > Hide Sidebar again.
Check out the UX annoyance here on this https://cln.sh/Kb17aA
More suggested UX improvements
* Always collapse and float sidebar — it means, clicking Sidebar icon wouldn't dock the Sidebar anymore, just float over the whole UI always.
* Disable hover to open Sidebar — There's something about that hover sensitivity that makes the experiences not desirable. Either tweak that hover settings to perfect that interaction or please let us have an ability to disable that.
PS : Bullet points above are my feature description suggestion, or the suggested UX writing on "how it should show/implemented" in the Preferences/Settings UI

Thanks for the feedback, @mancerrss! I too was confused by the fact that the sidebar button was only shown when it was collapsed. In case you hadn't seen it, you can also use Command-Shift-D to toggle the sidebar, which is probably faster if you use it often enough to remember the shortcut, unlike me. :)
I've passed your feedback on to the team. 👍
