3 months agoHello folks,
I'm sorry that you're running into issues when filling login credentials into Chrome on your Android devices. Our team is currently tracking a couple of issues where autofill won't work correctly in Chrome on Android in certain situations and the issues have been reported to Google. For the time being, try these steps to get things working:
- Make sure that autofill is setup correctly for your device: Set up Autofill
- Open Chrome.
- Click the three dots ( ⋮ ) on the top right, then tap Settings > Autofill.
- Tap Autofill on Chrome or Autofill on Brave, then choose Autofill using another service and tap Restart Chrome or Restart Brave if prompted.
If you still run into filling issues then try changing autofill prompts to appear above supported keyboards:
- Open and unlock the 1Password for Android app.
- Tap the account/collection icon on the top right.
- Tap Settings > Autofill.
- Tap Display autofill prompts then tap Above supported keyboards.
- Open your device settings, then tap Apps > 1Password > Force Stop.
- Reopen the 1Password for Android app
If you are using GBoard as your keyboard, perform these additional steps:
- Open your device settings
- Tap Additional Settings
- Tap Languages and Input
- Tap Manage Keyboards, then tap GBoard
- Tap Text Correction, then toggle Show Suggestion Strip on.
If that doesn't work then you might be running into an issue that we hope to get resolved in the next update to 1Password for Android. Please send an email to support@1Password.com and include a link to this thread so that the team can help further with your particular device and situation.

I received an email indicating this has been marked as the accepted answer.
This is incorrect and needs to be corrected immediately.
All three proposed solutions are reposts of previously attempted fixes that have failed to resolve the core issue.
Marking incomplete solutions as 'accepted' when the application remains non-functional is misleading to other users seeking actual working solutions.
Please revert this thread to unsolved status until a genuinely effective fix is provided. The community deserves accurate information about what actually works.
The thread should only be marked as resolved when the application achieves consistent, documented stability."

Thanks for reaching out. The comment isn't currently marked as a solution.
We've recently released improvements in the 1Password for Android beta version with an update that was released today (8.11.4-21), would you mind testing that out to see if it helps in your case?
You can find instructions here: Use 1Password beta releases

Hi Dave,
Unfortunately the behaviour is exactly the same, and non of my issues are resolved with this version.

Hey Dave, I just got an email saying to do the opposite:
Please follow these steps:
Return to Settings > Autofill in the 1Password app.
Tap Autofill on Chrome or Autofill on Brave, then choose Autofill using another service and tap Restart Chrome or Restart Brave.
Could you please confirm?
Thanks
