Ok, I guess I was able to identify the problem I am having: Starting Safari with cookies turned off renders the 1P-button in Safari useless. Clicking on it doesn't have any function. Turning on cookies doesn't help.
But a Safari restart with cookies turned on enables the button and all its functionalities. Now I receive an email from you guys stating that there was an new registration of 1P with Safari everytime I choose this "solution".
Do you need a diagnostics report for that behaviour?
