1pw trying to autofill a form field thinking it's a username field

I'm a web developer working on a portal for clients in fintech. I currently am creating a field in a form with the name clientId, which in this case is the OAuth2 Client Id for an application.

1pw is trying to autofill usernames into the field at the moment, even though it's not really a username field and there's no password field in the form. It's annoying enough that'd I'd like to know if there's anyway to hint to 1pw (and other autofilling solutions) that this is not a username field.

Thanks

Hello ciarancurleyapata, thanks for writing in.

The best way to ensure 1Password in the browser understands when a field is supposed to be filled or not is to make sure that it's labelled as explicitly as possible. We have developer documentation on how to -> https://developer.1password.com/docs/web/compatible-website-design/.

Let me know if you have any questions or need any help along the way. 🙂
