Annoyed at number of interactions required to autofill
I'm sorry it isn't working as expected. It doesn't sound like 1Password 8 is communicating with the browser extension in your case. To get us started troubleshooting that, please check on Jack's question above:
Just to confirm, do you have either 1Password for Safari if you're using Safari, or 1Password in the browser if you're using one of our other supported browsers?
Once you've confirmed you've got the correct browser extension installed and enabled, please right click on the extension icon in your browser's toolbar, and select settings. In the extension settings turn on the 'integrate with 1Password app' setting if it is not on. Then, in the 1Password 8 app, open 1Password > Preferences > Browser and enable the 'connect with 1Password in the browser.' If you're still having trouble after enabling those settings, we'd need to take a look at the logs to see why the two aren't talking.
To generate a diagnostic report from 1Password 8, select 1Password > Preferences > Advanced > Send Diagnostics. We'll also want to see the log from the extension side. Instructions for gathering that can be found here:
Save a console log for 1Password in your browser
Attach both the diagnostic report and console log to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com
