Auto-submit cannot be disabled when "Offer to fill & save passwords" is disabled
I generally use the 1Password in the browser keyboard shortcut (for me, ⌘.) to fill credentials on a website. As such, I keep the main autofill setting, "Offer to fill & save passwords," disabled:
The screenshot suggests that in this state, "Sign in automatically after autofill" is disabled, but in fact it is not. If I use ⌘. to fill in credentials on a login page, the form is automatically submitted, when I would prefer to submit manually.
As a workaround, I can enable "Offer to fill & save passwords," and then disable "Sign in automatically after autofill":
But I don't want to see 1Password UI on login forms either, because I don't use it and it can interfere with filling forms (for example, by competing with a site's built-in dropdowns).
Please make it possible to disable "Sign in automatically after autofill" when "Offer to fill & save passwords" is disabled.

Hello ravron! 👋
I'm sorry that the "Sign in automatically after autofill" option isn't turning off correctly. Our developers are aware of the issue and are investigating. So that I can help you find a workaround for now can you tell me the following:
- Which browser are you using?
- Do you have autosubmit turned on for Universal Autofill in the 1Password desktop app? You can check by following these steps: Open and unlock 1Password for Mac > Click on 1Password next to the in the menu bar > Click Settings > Scroll down and make sure that "Submit automatically with Universal Autofill" is turned off.
I look forward to hearing from you.

- I'm using Firefox 128.0.3
- I did have autosubmit for Universal Autofill turned on. Turning it off fixed my issue: autosubmit is disabled for 1Password in the Browser when "Offer to fill and save passwords" is disabled.
Thanks for the tip! I did not expect those settings to be intertwined in that way.

I'm happy that turning off autosubmit for Universal Autofill helped. Thanks again for reporting the issue, hopefully the behaviour here can be improved in a future update to 1Password in the browser. 🙂
