When can we expect to see auto-type in macos?

Thanks for the reply! Auto-type has only ever been available for 1Password on Windows since the Mac version has Universal Autofill. The auto-type feature for Windows started as a Labs experiment before being promoted to a stable feature.

The use case is for for instance Citrix Workspace, where I might not be able to paste.
KeePass has this function, even for macos.

I know that you said that you've already shared this with your onboarding team but I'll pass this along to our product team as well so that they're aware that you're still looking to see this functionality added to 1Password on the Mac in the future. Thank you for the feedback!

Hello @jbygden! 👋

Thanks for the question! 1Password for Mac already includes a filling feature called Universal Autofill: Use Universal Autofill in apps and browsers on your Mac

Universal Autofill allows you to fill your login credentials into any Mac app. If Universal Autofill doesn't completely fit your needs then can you tell me a little more about your use case? I'd be happy to pass along your feedback to the team.

The use case for me is that universal autofill doesn't "type" the passwords in so some software or through multiple remote desktops. I need the password typed in by simulating key presses not using clipboards.

@catagris

Thank you for the feedback! I've filed a feature request to have our team look into bringing auto-type to 1Password on the Mac.

@1P_Dave, wasn't there a beta last summer that actually had an auto-type feature even for macOS?
I had this discussion with the team responsible for our on-boarding about that time.

KeePass has this function, even for macos.

Is there any update to adding this functionality?
