Autofill for Safari behavior

#1 I prefer memorable passwords so that I can remember them and/or type them when the auto-fill is unavailable. The passwords it generates don't always fulfill the password requirements for a given site. Sometimes I make changes to make it more memorable for me for that site (or because it’s funny). Here’s what I want: The 1Password extension generates a memorable password, I make an edit to the password, then 1Password saves the edited password to the new or updated Login item.
#2 I turned off “Show autofill,” which does keep it from blocking the screen until I need to use it. My point is that turning that off mostly defeats the purpose of the extension. It’s also worth noting that the placement of the icon conflicts with the show/hide toggle for password visibility on sites that have that. I guess my feedback is that the extension is sort of unwieldy in a way that limits its utility.

5 months agoThank you for the feedback regarding the placement of the 1Password icon and suggestions menu as well as the request to be able to edit suggestions before they're saved. I've passed your experience along to the team internally so that they can consider improvements in the future.
For the time being, it sounds like creating and generating a password using the desktop app and then copying it over to the website in question, rather than using the suggestions from 1Password in the browser, would fit your workflow best.
