custom icons for logins no longer editable
In the past, I've been able to add a custom icon to a login in 1Password for the Browser by double-clicking on the default icon (formed by the first 2 letters of the entry name). An upload dialog box would then pop up for you to choose the image file for the icon.
Am I missing something, or has this feature been removed in a recent release? Double-clicking on the default icon no longer opens a dialog, and I can find no other button or setting that allows me to specify a custom icon. My existing custom icons still display, but there is no way to edit them.
I've tried toggling the Show app and website icons setting; it makes no difference.

I really preferred to be able to edit from the web app rather than having to download an app to my computer. This was a feature I used a lot.

Hello eh3183! 👋
1Password is rolling out a new web app which more closely resembles the design and user experience of the desktop and mobile apps. At the moment, support for custom icons isn't available in this new web app and I've let the team know that you'd like to see it be added.
For the time being, you can edit your custom icons using the desktop app instead: Get the 1Password apps

Thank you for the feedback, I've let the team know that you'd love to see the ability to edit/add custom icons be added to the new web app. For the time being, using the desktop app is the best option.

I have the desktop app and am still unable to change icons. - eh3183New Contributor
The desktop app works for me on Windows 10 and 11. I have found that sometimes you have to upload the icon twice in succession, i.e. it doesn't "stick" the first time.

I'm sorry that you're unable to change your custom icons. To clarify, do you have the 1Password 8 for Windows desktop app installed (not the web app open in your desktop browser):
If you do then can you tell me what version of the app you're using: Find the version numbers for 1Password and your operating system

Sorry Dave. I am in the web browser. I will try the other way. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. The web app (in the browser) currently doesn't include the ability to edit custom icons, hopefully that will be added in the future. Let me know if you run into any issues with the desktop app. 🙂
