Drag and drop of credentials does not seem to work under Wayland

Wayland is beginning to replace X11 as the default display protocol/server on Linux. Running 1Password under Wayland, today, required me to copy every sensitive credential to the clipboard (which I try to avoid), because I could not drag and drop any of them from 1Pass main & mini windows into other programs. I could not even drag a username into a plain text editor. Other programs didn't seem to have the same trouble, and could send and receive dragged text to each other, so I thought it must be 1Pass.

Thanks for reaching out. Can you try the new 1Password for Linux beta (8.11.0-25 or later)
     which includes improvements for Wayland:

We’ve added secure clipboard support for Wayland environments.

You can find the beta here: Use 1Password beta releases. Make sure to launch 1Password in native Wayland mode using ELECTRON_OZONE_PLATFORM_HINT=auto 1password

Thank you all very much. It works. I put the env var into the main application shortcut, and into the entry I have under Settings > Autostart, as those edits aren't propagated.

Thank you for confirming that the improvements to Wayland support help with drag and drop on your Linux device. 🙂

I just tested this with a wayland-ized 1password beta 8.11.0-25 and it works now.

    Wayland, KDE 6.3.4, Ubuntu 25.04

The only way I can drag'n'drop is between 1Pass windows, but even then it'll show the nope cursor.
