Early access to 1Password for Mac has been a disaster for me. Can't even install the version 8 app

I already have an account on 1Password.com. I clicked on "Migrate your data" since I want to migrate my standalone vaults to my 1Password account. I signed in to my 1Password.com account. 1Password did not "ask if you want to add your new account to the app." The instructions say, in this case, to click on "add it manually" link. In following the instructions on this page I signed in to my account on 1Password.com. Clicked my name and chose "Get the Apps". Select "Add your account directly". Enter master password. Click "Sign in". I get a dialog message, "1Password Account Already Added". The instructions then instruct me to "Click Copy Items, and all your existing data....will be copied to your new account." For the life of me I can't find any such "Copy items" to click. On my 1Password.com account page I have 3 boxes that relate to vaults-- All Vaults, Private, and SharedAll. these vaults appear in 1Password app on all my devices. I assume they are all synching with iCloud. I clicked on the email link for "joining our early access" for 1Password 8 for the Mac. I downloaded the installer and installed it on my Mac. When I try to open it I just get a blank white window.
