Extension on Mac stealing focus from browser, making it impossible to use Firefox or Chrome

When you click the browser to do anything, the extension is "stealing" the focus of the browser, trying to open the 1Password app. This makes using the browser impossible. Only solution is to close ...

After having come home from travelling I started to experience a strange bug: The 1password chrome extension constantly grabs the focus, so I have f.e. to click 2-3 times on any button in Chrome and cannot type anything in the bar. In the Statusbar 1password, not Chrome is the foreground app. As soon as I deactivate the extension Chrome is back to normal behaviour.
