How can I retire an old credit card so it no longer appears in the browser extension of 1Password ?

I am using 1Password8 and the Beta-Extension for Firefox on the Mac. Whenever I need to fill in credit card details I am shown a long list of old credit cards; I only want to see the ones I currently...

Maybe "Collections" are what you are looking for?
https://support.1password.com/collections/

I'm using collections to show only 2 of my vaults.
