How to update a password

Can you tell me a little more about the specific issue that you're running into? When you'd like to update a password on a website, 1Password will automatically suggest the new password right on the page. What specifically isn't working and what kind of device and browser are you using? 

I made a typo in the password.  I want to go into the vault and edit the password spelling.  Find no way to do that. 

You can edit your items either by downloading and installing the app on your device, or by loggin in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com: View and edit your items on 1Password.com
