Intermittent Passkey Failure & How to Fix

I notice that Safari passkey usage on applicable sites gets stuck immediately and I can't use a passkey to login. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug I can fix? EXAMPLE I have a Payp...

I just ran into the issue in that last screenshot while trying to sign into Caremark.com with a passkey. I already had 1Password unlocked, so it was possible to log in with my 1P passkey, just not easy.

It was a race: I had a second or two to hit the button to log in with the 1Password passkey via the extension popup in the upper right before the QR code modal popped up and locked me out of interacting with the extension. I lost the race once or twice before succeeding.

Unfortunately, dismissing the QR code modal ended the passphrase auth session, rather than just dismissing the modal so I could finally get at the 1Password extension again, so I had to start over each time.

Seeing the same behavior. If I click the passkey button within a second of its appearance, it works. Otherwise the QR modal window appears and I'm stuck. Running with Safari browser.
