Mac desktop 7.9.5 beta 1 not filling in email field on specific page

Right after I posted that I updated from OS 10.14 to the current iteration of OS 12, and as a result got the opportunity to try 1P v8.

Good news: 1P v8 works in this circumstance.
Bad news: 1P v8 stinks (reasons outlined in a different post). I quickly went back to 1P v7.

And for whatever reason, I'm not interested in 1P for the browser. I do hear it has better integration now with the desktop app, but I'm a creature of habit. The desktop app and classic browser extension work great; there's nothing to fix.
