laugher I can't make any promises on when there will be a fix for filling on the National Geographic website, but our developers are aware of the issue and hopefully they will be able to address in the future.
As for the workaround, I can confirm that it works for me. I am able to fill my login by clicking on the 1Password icon in my browser's toolbar. Here's a video: https://share.cleanshot.com/mySkx27g
