Pedora 37 - gpaste - 1P v8.9.8 leave passwords in the gpaste history

Hi,

Just noticed that 1P is not clearing a copied password out of the gpaste history.

I see no specific settings I think could be wrong.

Can something be done about this?

Thanks,
Doug

Hey @stetner, thanks for reaching out. I've looked into this for you it doesn't appear to be something that can be handled on our side. Having a clipboard manager copy the clipboard contents and store them elsewhere is beyond our control.

With that said, it looks like GPaste has their own solution when dealing with passwords. Hitting <Ctrl><Alt>S treats the clipboard content as a password and doesn't display it or save it to disk in the history file.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
