Problem with importing passwords into 1Password with Linux Desktop-based app

Trying to import my existing passwords from LastPass, and the recommended approach is to use the desktop app for this. However, when I add my account nothing happens when I click the "import" ...
If I just skip over this question and try to import the passwords using the menu option (
Three dots -> Import), that option is completely greyed out.
