Hey @alturic, I know how important it is to access 1Password in the browser. I recommend using the 1Password app with the extension just as Former Member had stated. With that setup, the extension shares a lock state with the app. And because the app supports biometrics, the process to unlock is more convenient.
By itself, the extension does need your Account Password in order to be unlocked. Though that can take extra effort, it is the best way to secure your data. The key is to configure your auto-lock settings in the extension to fit what you would like. Some users have the extension lock up after 5 minutes of idleness. Some users do not have the extension lock up at all (unless they fully quit the browser or restart their computer, which will always lock the extension).
The app also has auto-lock settings that you can configure. If you've installed the app, I would recommend checking out those settings for the app so that you are not asked to unlock as often even if biometric unlock makes it easier. Here's how to configure the auto-lock settings for the app: https://support.1password.com/auto-lock/
I hope that helps set you on the right path. If you have any other questions, please let us know!
