Still getting US date formatting in Firefox browser plugin

I am in the UK and have UK date formatting set everywhere (see screenshot), but 1password's browser plugin shows US date formatting. The main 1password app is showing the correct UK formatting, but shows US formatting when you enter the date. Changing the language of the browser plugin to e.g. German has no effect on the date formatting, neither does changing the language of the main app. It's a complete shambles! Screenshots attached:

I've been fighting against the nonsensical US date formatting for months now, and it's just driving me crazy. I told you before, and I'll repeat it again: the switch from a "native" swift/objc app to a "cross-platform" app might have been good for your bottom line, but it was crap for users. I think there's enough examples out there of companies that enshittified their core product, don't follow their bad example!

  • Hello bsb! 👋

I'm sorry for the frustration. The date format not be respected in certain cases inside of the 1Password desktop app is a known issue that is known by our development team and is being worked on as I mentioned in your previous thread. I've let the team know that the issue continues to interrupt your workflow.

Regarding 1Password in Firefox, can you tell me what you have set as the language inside of Firefox itself? If I change my Firefox language to English (GB) and then restart my browser, I see the correct date format (DD/MM/YYYY) in 1Password in the browser:

You can find the language setting by typing about:preferences into the address bar, pressing Enter, and then scrolling down to the language section. I look forward to hearing from you.

I do have it set to English (GB), too. 🤔 I'll check what happens if I switch it to something else, and then back to US.

Let me know if switching the language in Firefox works for you. Here's what I'm seeing when I have English (GB) selected:

And when I have English (US) selected:

Note: you need to completely close Firefox and then reopen it after switching the language to see the change take effect.
