Switch from Nightly to Beta isn't working

4 years agoHello Backspaze ! Thanks for sharing your feedback! We appreciate every idea that could make 1Password better.
This behavior is by design, changing the update channel only changes where you will get the next updates from, you can find more information in this thread (https://1password.community/discussion/comment/642608/#Comment_642608).
Having said that, to switch from Nightly to Beta with out losing your settings or SSH configuration please follow these steps:
- Quit 1Password.
- Open the Start Menu, paste this code into the search field, and press Enter:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password
- Once you've navigated to this location, right-click the
1password.sqlite
file, clickRename
and name the file1password-old.sqlite
. - Open the Start menu.
- Click (Windows Settings) > Apps.
- Click 1Password, then click Uninstall.
- Download and install Beta using this link https://1password.com/downloads/windows/#beta-downloads
- Sign in or add your account
