Tip: Turn off extension sync before installing beta extensions
I installed 1P 8 and the beta extensions on one of my three Macs, forgetting that I had extensions synced in both Chrome and Firefox. The release extensions disappeared on my Macs running IP 7. When I reinstalled, the Firefox extension on one machine and the Chrome extension on another machine were stubborn about restarting sync with the desktop app and it took multiple restarts, Quit Completelys, etc. Just an avoidable annoyance. Maybe something to mention to beta testers.

Thanks roustem. It says in this blog post to run the beta extensions but maybe the stable version has since caught up.

That's a great tip.
I personally always run our beta extensions to have the most recent changes and bug fixes. However, it should be possible to use 1Password 8 with the stable version of the extensions as well.
