Unable to create a passkey on SwissID website

Hi, I can't create a passkey on swissid.ch; 1Password doesn't activate and instead I am being redirected straight to Window Hello prompt. 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version...

    I'm sorry that you're unable to create a passkey on swissid.ch using 1Password. This is a known issue that our development team is currently working with SwissID to resolve and I've added your reports to our internal tracking item for the issue. Hopefully the issue can be resolved soon.

    For the time being, you can use other authentication methods to sign into the website.

It is still not solved. I totally get it, that 1Password is not the problem here and I hope you are still working on it.

I don't have any news to share at the moment, the team is aware of the issue and has reached out SwissID.

    It’s been implemented a few weeks ago and it just works fine for me with iOS

      It doesn't work for me on MacOS via the browser add-on and desktop app.

        On Windows 11, 24H2, 26100.6584 with Edge 141.0.3537.99 and 1Password Extension 8.11.16.35 it's still not working :-(

    Any news on this?

    SwissID will deactivate Mobiel ID on December 1, and I would like to switch to PassKey with 1Password.

    Dear SwissID users

    Logging in with SwissID will become even easier and more secure for you in the future! We are now using passkeys – a globally recognized standard for greater security and user-friendliness in the login process.

    Passkeys will replace the previous two-factor authentication using Mobile ID, which will no longer be supported as of December 1, 2025. We therefore recommend that you switch to passkeys as soon as possible.
