Universal autofill not working in Brave on Mac

I've found that 1Password's universal autofill functionality (the Command+\ shortcut) is no longer working on Brave on Mac.  Versions are macOS 15.6.1, 1Password 8.11.8, and Brave 1.82.166.  This is on an M1 MB Pro.  Universal autofill works in Safari, and the 1Password extension drop-down prompts still work in both Safari and Brave.  Thanks!

Our development team is investigating the issue alongside our friends at Apple but I don't have any updates to share at this time. For the time being, these are the best workarounds for Brave and Chrome specifically:

    1. Use 1Password in the browser (the browser extension) to fill your login information into Chromium browsers instead of using Universal Autofill: Get to know 1Password in your browser
    2. Use a non-Chromium browser like Firefox if you'd like to continue to use Universal Autofill. I know that this won't be possible for most people but I wanted to mention it just in case it helps.

1P_Dave with 1Password in the browser can one define a keyboard shortcut to fill a login on a site when there is only one option?  That's the key thing I'm missing from Universal Autofill.

There isn't currently a keyboard shortcut for autofill in 1Password in the browser itself. The currently best keyboard-based options are:

        1. Press the down arrow to select the suggested login and then press Enter.
        2. Press Shift-Command-X to open the 1Password pop-over, make sure the right login item is suggested, then press Enter.

I'll pass your idea to add a keyboard shortcut for autofill itself to our product team. I'm sorry that I don't have a better workaround to suggest at the moment.

Is there any update on this issue?  Universal autofill still does not work for me in Brave, as of version 1Password for Mac 8.11.20 (81120039)

Experiencing exactly the same thing. Versions:
    Brave: 1.82.166 (arm64)
    Chromium: 140.0.7339.133
    OSX: Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90)
    MBP M1
    1Password: 8.11.8

It stopped auto-filling about a week or two ago using CMD+\ shortcut.

I'm sorry for the trouble that you're running into with Universal Autofill in Brave, this is a known issue that our team is investigating.

For the time being, until a fix is available, you can use 1Password in the browser to fill your passwords in Brave: Get to know 1Password in your browser

    Hi msridhar23,

Thanks for your thorough testing, as that greatly helps us narrow down the issue. Since you mentioned things work fine in Safari, it's highly likely you're encountering a bug affecting Chromium-based browsers when attempting to use Quick Access/Universal Autofill.

We're actively investigating this to find a resolution and I'll post an update here when a resolution is available. I apologize for the inconvenience – I know how annoying it is when your workflow is interrupted with your preferred browser!
