Don't miss tomorrow's Office Hours!
Hi everyone — thanks so much for joining our second Office Hours!
Below you’ll find the questions we covered, along with the answers and some helpful resources to dive deeper:
Q1: What will happen to my 1Password Families accounts if/when I move on from my current employer?
A1: When you move on from your employer, your business account will be removed — but your 1Password Families account comes with you. It will automatically unlink from your company’s plan and switch to a 14-day free trial.
During that time, you’ll see a new Billing section where you can add your own payment details and keep your account running seamlessly. If you decide not to, your account won’t disappear — it simply moves into a read-only “frozen” state, so you can still view and export everything you’ve saved.

Q2: How is using 1Password to store my credentials easier or better than using the built in password manager on chrome?
A2: 1Password stands out because of our security-first design and ease of use.
While other password managers regularly make headlines for breaches, 1Password is built differently: not even our own team can access your data. In the highly unlikely event of a hack, attackers would find nothing but an empty safe — your information stays private and secure.
On top of that, customers love using 1Password. Our award-winning design and powerful browser extension make it effortless to save, fill, and manage credentials as part of your everyday workflow.

Q3: Is there a way for me to see how many of my team members have downloaded the browser extension?
A3: Absolutely! If your team is on 1Password Business, you’ll see this in the Owner/Admin dashboard under Level up your team. For a deeper dive, the Adoption Report shows exactly who might need a friendly nudge to install the browser extension.
Since the browser extension is central to how people use 1Password, it’s also one of the clearest indicators of success. The more your team uses it, the smoother their experience — and the stronger your security.
