  • Hi everyone! đź‘‹

A big thank you to those who joined today’s Office Hours — our very first session specifically dedicated to walking Owners and Admins through the roll out of 1Password to their teams!

This Owner/Admin Office Hours will continue to take place on the first Thursday of every month. They’re a great resource for both new and experienced Owners/Admins looking for guidance, best practices, and support on setting up your 1Password account and rolling it out successfully to your team.

Below, you’ll find the key Q&A highlights from today’s call, along with links to the resources we covered:

    Q&A Highlights

Q: What’s the best way to build a productive, efficient 1Password environment for my team?
A: Use Vaults and Groups. Vaults store your information, while Groups let you organize team access. Together, they ensure employees only see what’s relevant to them and make it easy to grant or restrict access quickly. Learn more in 1Password’s Admin Academy.

    Q: Can Business Owners/Admins see what’s inside a user’s free Families account?
A: No — a Families account is completely separate from a Business account and belongs only to the user.

Q: What is Watchtower, and how does it work?
A: Watchtower is a built-in security health monitor for your 1Password items. It checks for vulnerabilities like compromised, weak, or reused passwords, missing 2FA, unsecured items, and expiring credentials.

This tool is especially valuable when employees are just getting started and migrating data into 1Password. It helps identify and fix weak or reused passwords right away, and then continues to monitor accounts daily to keep them secure.
