SSH Agent - "Error connecting to agent: No such file or directory"
Hi. I am attempting to setup the SSH agent for use connecting to a remote server and ran into some errors.
I created an ssh key in 1Password and am attempting to copy over the public key to the server and then use 1Password to authenticate on my local client. I was unable to use ssh-copy-id to add the key generated in 1Password to the server. It fails with the error message 'ERROR: failed to open ID file 'n.pub': No such file or directory'.
Upon further investigation I discovered that ssh-add -l
is returning "Error connecting to agent: No such file or directory"
. This is with SSH_AUTH_SOCK
set to ~/Library/Group Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.1password/t/agent.sock
.
Any guidance on what the issue may be would be appreciated.
