Since re-launching 1Password Community in February, we’ve been taking note of every piece of feedback you’ve all shared so we can continue to make improvements.
One trend we’ve seen in the feedback...

Hey there,
It's my first time (at least in a while) posting on the forum here, and just wanted to offer some feedback on this organization.
I stumbled upon this forum trying to make a feature request post, so what I did was click on the only relevant-looking thing on the main forum page, the feature request tag. That led me to Tag:"feature request" | 1Password Community which shows the existing ones, but there was no way to add a new post from there. I was pretty confused by that and spent some time in my account profile, wondering if I had failed to finish account creation or something and thus didn't have posting permissions yet.
I gave up after looking through the preferences and profile settings. Seeing nothing relevant, I clicked on the 1password Community header in the upper left, which took me back to Community | 1Password. I clicked Join Discussions again, but still saw no way to post a new message.
The categories are also pretty confusing the way they're currently laid out:
I use 1password both at work and at home, and I'm also a developer (but of what? is that for development of third-party 1password plugins and integrations, or...?). Then there were the topic-based tags below, which apparently are just search queries and not actual categories. I still could not figure out how to post.
I eventually just randomly started clicking around more and ended up in the "at home" section and noticed the "Start a new discussion" button only in there, but what I wanted to post wasn't really about home or work in particular.
Most software-related forums I've seen are categorized by category, like "Support" or "Feature Requests" or "Bug Reports", etc. I was pretty confused by the organization here.
Also, I don't know what forum software this is (maybe Khoros Community?), but it seems to be quite buggy, slow, and... frankly kinda janky. Copy/pasting doesn't work right (images show up and then disappear, hyperlinks get mangled and cause images to disappear on preview but double-post on publish, hyperlinks don't format right after publishing, the focus indicator looks like a quote block indicator, etc. I've never struggled so much with a forum.
Was there a reason a regular hosted Discourse instance wouldn't have worked? Seems like a lot of wheels being reinvented here, and it makes the overall experience pretty hard to use. Strictly IMHO though.
I do love the 1password app itself... thanks for a great service :)
