First off a huge THANK YOU for bringing back "What the Phrase?" It was my favorite and most useful game of all time! The most memorable entry for me was "not my circus - not my monkeys" Which can be quite useful in certain situations!
On to hot takes:
Passwords will die in 2026? Not a chance! Although I did just have a website require me to get a passkey... no excuses, no way out! And I didn't really realize until this podcast that they eliminate the need for 2FA codes.
Ai will solve more... nope nope nope! I agree with the hosts. I probably agree with them on Cyber insurance - but I don't know much about that.
I definitely concur that CAPTCHA is torture, and that magic links are not that convenient.
The download button can be a great thing - especially if you are downloading something super useful - dare I say like 1PW? I'd submit that clicking on links in email is way riskier.
I can't imagine remote work without a VPN - and I wouldn't use a VPN that I didn't trust - so compared to using a open sketchy hotel wifi I'd say a VPN absolutely can enhance security. But would concede the point that they might not always do so.
It's a safe bet that New Years resolutions of all sorts are forgotten in January. For me getting 1PW7 out of my life might be a good one.
Thanks for the fun podcast & Happy New Year
