How do you create passkeys or enable MFA in the new 1Password Community site?

I looked everywhere in my profile settings and can’t find them.

Hi ​@jmsgwd, thanks for writing in. There aren’t options to enable 2FA or passkeys for Community accounts, so that’s not a setting you’re overlooking. While I can’t promise they will be added, I’ve let out platform provider know that our community is interested in these options.

Thanks ​@1P_Timothy. I must say that, for a new platform introduced in 2026, that seems a bit ironic for a company that promotes the use of passkeys and MFA in third-party websites!

What URL can we use with the current Community to replace the old signin page so that we can Open and fill again? All the obvious guesses are 404.

We’ve got the robots.txt file updated. Thanks for flagging that!

Our platform doesn’t support .well-known, but we’ve flagged it with the vendor. Same applies to llms.txt, which they’ve told us they’re monitoring to see how adoption goes.

Can you say more about the appending of //index2.html? I haven’t seen that, but I might just be misunderstanding what you’re describing.

That is concerning and appreciated, respectively.

You mentioned llms.txt, but not the most important one: security.txt. which may be put in / while the vendor works on creating the /.well-known directory.

 

Can you say more about the appending of //index2.html?

  1. Open a post of non-trivial length such as this one,
  2. scroll to the bottom,
  3. stifle disappointment
  4. click  ⊕ Show more replies, and
  5. see that it’s now working, i.e. opening /index2.html whereas it previously opened //index2.html.

The moderator is censoring inappropriate things such as email addresses using example.org or the 1Password Support email address. It may be censoring all email addresses, in which case obvious domains such as the example.tld ones and 1password.com should be whitelisted.

To make it worse, the censored text is replaced by a mailto: link to “ %5removed by moderator%5” which is itself wrong in several ways.

It may also be quarantining replies which include email addresses, such as my recent one to ​@raystorm‘s post.

We’re seeing the same AJC. It looks like the auto-mod is a bit over eager. We’re going to be testing out a few tweaks in the coming days that should improve this behaviour.

Hi, I noticed there is no option in settings to delete my account. Browsed the Gainsight forum and it seems I have to email you to have my account deleted. However my email is a read-only alias. I can’t find any option to change my email (?!) so I’m asking here: can you please delete or anonymize my forum account? TIA

It looks like logins are completely broken in Firefox. I had to use Chrome to get in. There’s no errors in the console, you just remain logged out.

How do you order search results by date? It seems to be stuck on relevancy which makes it hard to see if anything has been posted specifically in the past month on a topic.

I didn’t recognize that the new community was launched already. Maybe another email would be great to get informed. I got an email that the new community will be launched but I missed the date. ;)
