The Browse by Topic feature is essentially unusable in its current state. Throw us a bone and at least let us sort the results!

The inability to resize the text box for posts and replies is seriously limiting and unexpected. This fix is simply to correctly set the CSS resize property. I looked at the source in order to provide more context, but now I have to lie down in the dark.

This is exacerbated by the box growing to accommodate five lines, then requiring scrolling. It doesn’t help that the scroll bar briefly appears with each new line before that limit is reached.

The language in the reporting function has extensive opportunity for improvement. Currently it says,

The title, Report content, is fine.

The subtitle, Topic, followed by a newline and paragraph text for the post title is a poor way to present the title of a post being reported.

The “Note” is all nonsense.

1. This is a web forum, so there is no mail - junk or otherwise.
2. The term “advertising” is far too vague; that is unless you want most 1Password announcements reported.
3. We are in no position to judge whether a post is authorized. If it wasn’t authorized, then how would it appear since posting requires being logged in with an account?
   This is further confused by the qualification, “such as insults or abusive language”, suggesting that the writer confused unauthorized with prohibited.

Rather than rewrite this using more suitable language, I suggest eliminating the entire text, perhaps replacing it with a link to the Community guidelines, which cover not only the official basis for appropriate posts, but includes a Reporting issues section.

Given the audience, the title and admirably succinct temporary text, “Reason”, is close to perfect.

The lack of any indication that a post or reply was edited creates a potential for problems (an hilarity). To illustrate,

2. ​@1P_SimonH replies, “I agree!”
3. ​@AJCxZ0 edits his post to say, “Bitwarden is by far the superior password manager”

All who replied to a post or reply should be notified of the edit, ideally with the details of the changes.

The indication of edits should probably be reserved for posts and replies which have received replies, as some folks like to correct and clarify their posts and replies - often more than once. Trivial changes might also be ignored.

Cannot add images to new posts or replies.

1. Create new topic or reply
2. Click Insert image icon
3. Select image
4. Nothing happens

100% reproducible with multiple browsers and image types and sizes.

Adding an image after typing something in the post works fine, indicating that this is either a bug or a very poor design or configuration choice lacking suitable error reporting and documentation.

Replies don’t appear after Sending.

1. Click 🗩 Reply
2. Type your brilliant and valuable insights, hoping the automod doesn't censor or quarantine it
3. Click the blue pill Send (despite your red pill reply)
4. The page refreshes, but your reply is missing
5. Reload the page
6. See your reply (unless the automod got it)

It's deja vu all over again.

A WYSIWYG editor has one job and this one is failing at it, specifically the rendering of structured text in the editor being destroyed when posted.

Something has indeed gone wrong while (Send)ing my reply to a post.

One thing the previous platform often managed was not losing the post or reply when an error was encountered. Not only was this error completely useless, but the five or six paragraph reply trying to help another member of the Community has just evaporated.

You may notice that the post to which I was replying begins with a report that they had to rewrite their reply due to their first disappearing, not to mention it ending with an observation of the continuing broken automoderation.

In direct messages, referencing other users with @ works fine in the editor, with a pop-up showing matching suggestions, however the resulting message fails to link or indicate anything other than plain text for these usernames.

A weak joke about solutions is too obvious - even for me.

I’ve yet to see an opportunity to mark a reply as a solution and my effort to test marking my reply to my post (which worked on the previous platform) is delayed by yet another post being held for moderation.
