We're excited to announce that access reviews are now available in 1Password SaaS Manager! This feature helps simplify compliance and governance by making it easier to regularly review who has access to what and take action directly from the platform. Whether you're preparing for SOC, PCI, SOX, or ISO27002/ 27017, or just want better visibility, 1Password SaaS Manager now supports one-off or scheduled access reviews. 1Password SaaS Manager provides admins with the flexibility to pick which apps are included in the access review based on custom fields, status, or to select them individually. Admins can schedule reviews as one-offs or recurring, set due dates, and assign reviewer roles to individual app owners. Automatic reminders and notifications are sent to reviewers to help keep reviews on track. During reviews, reviewers can approve or flag users individually or in bulk or assign follow-up tasks. They can view user lists, access levels, and access risks, such as “leaver with access” to speed up the review process. If the app has API endpoints related to user management, reviewers can take direct action in reviews, such as revoking user access. And if the app doesn't support automated removal, reviewers can raise a 1Password SaaS Manager task and sync with their ITSM, or record a note to log those changes in 1Password SaaS Manager for full auditability. Lastly, reviewers can upload user role data via CSV if an API isn’t available, attach supporting evidence, and export reviews with outcomes, reviewer names, and timestamps. Access reviews serve as a critical check to ensure lifecycle management processes are working as intended. Regular access reviews can catch users who still have access to apps when they shouldn't. For example, access reviews can identify leavers whose access should be revoked. With that insight, customers can strengthen their automated offboarding workflows in 1Password SaaS Manager to prevent future gaps and reduce risk. Ready to get started? Access reviews are available to all 1Password SaaS Manager customers today. Head to the Access tab in your 1Password SaaS Manager admin console today to get started. Unsanctioned AI tools. Patchy access controls. Unmanaged apps and devices. And of course, compromised credentials. These are the issues revealed in our latest 1Password Annual Report 2025: The Access-Trust Gap. Based on a survey of over 5,000 knowledge workers, IT and security professionals, and CISOs, the report captures a moment of rapid technological and cultural change. The rise of hybrid work, SaaS sprawl, personal device use, and generative AI have all stretched identity and access tools like SSO and MDM beyond their limits. The result is what we call the Access-Trust Gap — the divide between the access that IT and security teams can govern, and the reality of how people (and now AI agents) actually access sensitive data. The report highlights four areas where that gap is widest: AI tools: High enthusiasm, low policy compliance. SaaS apps: Shadow IT and unmanaged access remain rampant. Credentials: Weak and reused passwords still drive breaches. Devices: MDM alone can’t keep pace with today’s hybrid workforce. Together, these findings paint a picture of an enterprise world struggling to keep up with how (and where) work happens today. The good news? There’s a clear path forward. We outline how organizations can close the Access-Trust Gap by pairing stronger governance with modern tools like 1Password Extended Access Management, 1Password SaaS Manager, and 1Password Device Trust — helping companies embrace AI and modern work securely. 📘 Read the full report: 1Password Annual Report 2025 📰 Read the blog post: The enterprise AI crisis: Unsanctioned tools and unenforced policies36Views0likes0Comments
