1Password for Safari not communicating with the desktop app [FIXED]

Both the extension and the app are updated and at current versions.

Have tried various combinations of quitting browser + app, and toggling / untoggling the "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app" and "Connect with 1Password in the browser" settings in the extension / app, respectively.

Have toggled on and off the "Allow in the background" setting in System Settings->General

Still getting "Status: Problems connecting 🟠. Please make sure the 1Password app is unlocked." 100% of the time when using the extension, and no option for TouchID

BEYOND frustrated at this point. I just want to use TouchID on my browser extension!

Add another user with the same problem.

TouchID only works for 1Password app, but doesn't work for the Safari plug in. Extremely inconvenient.

It worked before now it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

This is not an update problem ... it is actually a problem with the code-signing certificate for the 1Password Safari extension, which expired sometime earlier today. The expiration of the certificate has caused the main 1Password application to deny attempts by the Safari extension to connect with it. Hopefully this will be fixed soon!!!

Thank you, @shrimppesto, for identifying the cause of the problem so I don't waste more time in futile efforts to solve it.

EDIT: Have you notified 1Password about this or do we just wait until they happen to read your comment?

What could be the reason that 1Password doesn't unlock with Touch ID. Every time it's asking for the password to unlock. Where can I have this settings modified ?Screen shot attached.

I have the same problem. Must be a bug.
And somehow the bugs in 1Password are getting more and more frequent.

Is anyone from the 1 Password team is going to fix this ? It so annoying . I am thinking of migrating to some other password manager. This has become entire crap .

Same problem here. 1Password for Safari stopped working. Have switched to Firefox for secure logins until this is fixed. Hope it's fixed, soon.
